Therefore, it follows that

"Patriarchal" is not the same word as "patriotical" (which isn't even a word).

Look at them closely.

Think about it.

Once more, side by side:

patriarch------patriotic

patriarchal------patriotical

Note how there is only ONE "t" in "patriarchal" and no "d".

Why, then, is it so hard to pronounce the darn word correctly?
